Genius hour met last week to kick off the New Year by baking cakes and having a party. This event was originally scheduled for the first week back, but due to snow and ice, schools were closed.
The kids divided into three teams and each team baked a cake. We played games and danced while the cakes were baking. We ran out of time and had to frost our cakes in a hurry, but warm cake directly from the oven is delicious!
We did have a meeting before we left for break in December, but I’m trying to track down the pictures. My computer sometimes uploads them to strange places!
This Genius Hour club has been so successful that I’ve requested an additional adviser to help on Fridays!
